The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS)

 

The Government has created a new insulation scheme that is being run by energy suppliers. Sheffield homeowners and tenants may be eligible for support to receive a fully-funded or subsidised insulation measure such as wall or roof insulation if your property:

 

• has an energy performance certificate (EPC) of D to G - check your EPC

• is in Council Tax bands A-D - check your Council Tax band

 

There is no other financial eligibility criteria so this is an offer that is potentially open to a wide variety of households.

Local installers may also be able to secure GBIS funding from energy suppliers and may approach local households to offer you measures, or advertise on social media. All legitimate installers must abide by the Government’s Trustmark standards.
