Heating Controls
Control Your Heating - And Your Costs
Here's how improved heating controls help you efficiently heat your home, driving down energy bills in the process.
Room Thermostat
A room thermostat monitors the temperature in the house. It send a signal to the boiler when the house is warm enough, telling it to switch off. We recommend ensuring your thermostat is in a heated space, otherwise it won’t know when the house is warm enough. Thermostats are normally set between 18 and 21ºC. This is the recommended room temperature for most people, but you may need to keep your home warmer if you have additional health needs or mobility issues
Smart Controls
Smart heating controls allow you to turn your heating and hot water on and off, or adjust the temperature, from wherever you are, usually through an app on your phone. Using smart heating controls can help you save money on your energy bills by only heating your home when you need it.
